The Disappeared and the Disquiet of those left behind - Purnimaya's story

A short multi-media piece produced for Amnesty International on enforced disappearances in Nepal using local photographer Nayantara Gurung Kakshapati. The work focusses on Purnimaya Lama and the impact of the abduction and killing of her husband by Maoist cadres during the 10-year insurgency in Nepal. The aim is to raise awareness of the on-going human rights violation when truth, justice and reparations are not available due to impunity.
