I haven't stopped shooting to be honest. However, I’m not used to being a street photographer where I live because it’s so small and people do not react well to the camera at all. I get the best images during travel. I think being a 'tourist' can make getting good pictures much easier sometimes. For example, when in New York, all the working citizens are moving around in such a fast pace that they don't take notice of the one person going at a slow pace, photographing them. This degree of separation is not available at such ease in small towns such as my home town of Swansea or Derby. And there for I have had little success so far. On average I get around one decent shot per film if I’m lucky and they are not usually portfolio quality. As far as a Derby project is concerned, I also have not thought of anything solid yet. I have considered a number of ideas but I’m not sure if they will be strong enough to form a coherent project.
