Current position and base (organization, company, etc.)
Free lance photographer
Born 1980 in Mexico City.
I had already graduated in Communications and Advertising when I got seriously interested in photography and started studying it in 2004 in Mexico City. I took a class at the International Center of Photography back in 2005 and participated in a few workshops in Mexico City, where I also met Steve Pyke, Gareth McConnell and Martin Parr at various master classes in 2007.
I work as a professional photographer since 2007, mainly for magazines. I have been collaborating with Harper´s Bazaar Latin America for 4 years documenting backstage in Latin America and Europe. I am also a contributor for Getty Images Latin America.
I arrived in France in 2009, where I have been documenting Brittany at the request of a local newspaper for the last 18 months through various perspectives such as people’s lives, historical places, industry, and nature.
I am interested in where we live, and how we live.
Photography helps me to get into situations that I am interested in living. I also take pictures of my day-to-day life so in the end it becomes an obsession about trying to document whatever surrounds me -people, things, situations.
What I intend to do is to extract frames out of stories to create a window through that moment and place.
