Representation/documentation of families of the 'disappeared'?

HiI am currently working in Nepal with community based organizations campaigning for truth, justice and reparations in relation to enforced disappearances. Profile Information

Current position and base (organization, company, etc.)
I am currently running the Rights Exposure Project centred round a blog looking at the use of visual media in social activism. This brings together articles, news and examples to act as a resource for activists. This will continue throughout 2009 during which I am on sabbatical from the International Secretariat of Amnesty International in London. I am based in Pokhara, Nepal.
Biography
I have worked at the International Secretariat of Amnesty International in London for nine years. My current position is Asia-Pacific Campaign Coordinator. During 2007-8 I managed Amnesty's campaing around the Beijing Olympics in China. I have a BA in Politics and an MA in South Asian Area Studies. I am originally from London, but have been worked from Hong Kong and currently, Nepal.
Specialities & interests
The main focus of my work is strategic campaign planning and implementation in order to improve human rights in the Asia-Pacific. I am particularly interested in how visual communication tools, such as photos and video, can be used to mobilize target audiences to take action. This includes less reliance on 'witness' based research and more emphasis on value based arguments to present the complexities of the world using multi-media to evoke sustainable empathy and engagement.
