- Murtada H. Bulbul was born in 1978 in Mymensingh and grew up in his home district of Sherpur. Already a graduate in commerce, he has further completed an advanced diploma in photojournalism from Pathshala, the South Asian Institute of Photography. Now, he is studding in his third year for bachelor degree in photojournalism from Pathshala, and preparing himself as a documentary photographer. Bulbul currently lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He won the second place of Alexia Foundation student scholarship award 2010.
