Biography
I am Julie Adnan a photographer in Iraqi Kurdistan. I am currently studying at the Department of Art at the University of Suleimanya. Besides being a painter, I work as photojournalist in my country.

I started to work in the field of journalism after the Iraq war ended in 2003. At that time I was a reporter for the Institute of War and Peace (IWPR) I received training under the same institute (IWPR). I was trained in the International basics of Journalism and also in the techniques of photojournalism.

Since 2004, I have been working with many Kurdish magazines and newspapers. In 2005 I began to work for the Aso daily newspaper, which is subsidiary to the Khandan Foundation for Publishing and Broadcasting. My photos have also been published in many other Kurdish newspapers and magazines such as the Kurdistani Nwe Daily Newspaper, Khak magazine and Tawda magazine. Besides photography, I also write for the Soma digest, a bi-weekly newspaper and the Iraqi-Kurdish Digest, which is published in English and a subsidiary to the Khak Press Agency and Al Sharq Awsat.

-Since 2005 I have participated in local and International exhibitions, such as:
