Biography
Yen-Yin Chen (Ian) grew up in Hsinchu city, which is known as the "wind town" in Taiwan.

He took a photojournalism course at the graduate institute of journalism of National Taiwan University when he was studying philosophy. He went to India twice in 2008 as a volunteer working for NGOs. After completing his military service in 2010 he attended the Magnum Workshop Toronto at Contact 2011. He is currently based in UK, studying for an MA in photography at Kingston University London.
