Biography: Eman Mohammed a 21-year-old Jordanian/Palestinian photojournalist & reporter based in the Gaza strip. Had been covering events in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian-Israel conflict since 2006.

The main body of my work has focused on Israel's bombing blitz of Gaza in 2008-2009 and the destruction and death perpetrated through Israeli shelling of the territory, and the subsequent invasion. During the war I worked on several photo stories detailing Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian population, including the suffering caused to children and the infirm through Israeli bombardment and its use of White Phosphorus shells, and also the desperation of the Palestinian people and their struggle to survive as they came under hourly bombing raids.

I had my photography published in The Guardian, Mother jones , Washington post, Haartez newspapers, Sewar magazine, Aftonbladet , Curso Abril and many other publications..

Specialities & interests: Recent highlights of my work include photographing the rise and formation of armed militant groups in the strip and the face-offs and firefights between the different political and militant groups. also documented through photographs the destruction, hardship and innovation in the Gaza Palestinian community as goods and medical help became scarce due to the Israeli/Egyptian siege, and the launching of rockets out of Gaza and Israel's violent retaliation.
