- Biography
- Born in the Netherlands in 1982, I started studying Educational Sciences and Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam in 2000. While living in Guatemala for different periods of time during 2000-2006 my interest in photography grew. While studying at the Universitat Autonoma in Barcelona, Spain, I followed a course in photography at the Institut Fotografics de Catalunya.
Before starting working with World Press Photo in april 2007 I conducted educational research on a freelance basis.
