To ensure this remains a supportive and constructive space to connect and share with others, we ask that everyone follow a few simple guidelines.

These guidelines are updated as we learn how to best support the OPEN-i community.  If you would like to contribute ideas, please send us feedback or participate in the OPEN-i development group.

• Don't be anonymous — This community helps us to connect and share ideas, and trust and openness are key to this. The first step toward this is to complete your profile page and upload a photo of yourself — photos sized to 175x175 pixels look best. 
• Be respectful and constructive — OPEN-i is an open and inclusive space for sharing ideas and making connections. Please be respectful and constructive with your comments. If you would like to send private comments to any member you can add them as your friend and then send them a message.
• Focus is on discussion, not self-promotion - in the spirit of ensuring a focused and educational experience and not overwhelming the site with information, members are asked not to use this space for self-promotion by uploading personal portfolios--photos or videos--unless it contributes to relevant discussions and topics (ensure to include a description of the photo/video). Moderators may ask you to delete irrelevant or unexplained media content. Use your profile page to share personal links or 3rd party applications, and feel free to upload events that may be of interest to the whole community, including exhibitions.
