Perpignan - planning an OPEN-i get together!

Hey everyone! We were thinking it would be a great idea to have an informal OPEN-i get-together at Perpignan, perhaps on the Saturday morning for coffee. A great way for any OPEN-i member and friends to meet face to face. Maybe we can even plan for a specific topic...

Planning this can be our first activity as the Ning Development Team... thoughts, ideas, how to move forward, etc.?

I'd love to but have a feeling I may struggle to get this past my manager ;)

Generally I think the site is looking fantastic, and stats regarding membership/events have really impressed the JISC BCE Programme manager! Being a member of various Ning groups this is certainly the best and I'm more of a lurker. One topic that interests me, maybe more for the project generally is how we measure the impact this network has on both students/practitioners/and professionals i.e. surveys after each event to find out what activity has been taken forward, case studies etc.

Meeting up sounds great but could I suggest later in the week some people don't get there until the Sunday. On a related note if anyone knows of accommodation for two could they PM me. A mix up with my accommodation has left me high and dry.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for getting the ball rolling on perpignan - I started an event to get a sense of numbers... We thought a tentative date of Sat, Sept 5th in the morning... open to change time/date.... but it seems like the most appropriate given schedules. Any thoughts?

If you are still looking for accomodation, there might be some in a dormitory hostel if you're desperate :) Some people from my class are about to cancel their reservations...
