Nice. Don't worry about the battery. Its cold and wet in the UK but not cold enough to effect equipment like that. The M8 is a tough piece of kit and im sure the battery could withstand colder temperatures than that of the UK. I'll be using a Nikon D3 as my main camera and maybe a Contax G2 as a backup.

M8 will be my main camera, battery life is my main concern now.. especially if it's cold over there.

Steven, been thinking about bringing my film rangefinder as well, but I think it'll serve as a backup. I would prefer to use it as well as my main camera, but I doubt there are any 1 hour labs there that also scan decently (and I wouldn't trust a lab I haven't used before with film that I want pushed for example)..

Hello everyone. I'm in Bruce Gilden's group. Is anybody else considering working in film? I'm bringing my digital kit but I prefer to use my 35mm rangefinder on the street because its more subtle.
