Hi all. For anyone hanging around for a few days, I've got an exhibition (Everything You Touch Turns To Time) opening at Mojo's Bar in North Freo tomorrow at noon. Everyone welcome, of course. Featured inThe Australian yesterday, though obviously part of the reason is down to the fact that it's about Perth's most important musical export.

My other exhibition, Roads By Night, Lanes By Light has been extended into early April, so there's still time to catch that, too. It's at the Centre Gallery in Kent Street, Victoria Park, but it's not the easiest to get to. From memory you'll need the 212 bus or something similar from St George's Terrace in Perth.

See you all tonight.

Hi everyone. For those of you who would like to stay in touch via Facebook, I created a group for us: http://www.facebook.com/groups/255580534536113/

Nice meeting everyone. Unfortunately I have to go to Sydney and won't be able to make the presentation tonight. Looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures when the book comes out!

Hi all,

Hope everyone has had a productive day.
There are no fixed events for tonight (Thursday) in Freo, but there is an opening of Petrina Hick's work at the Venn Gallery in Perth for those who don't mind travelling to the city.
On Friday evening both Antoine & Donovan will present their work in the courtyard of the workshop venue, open from 6pm starting at 6.45pm. This is a free event for those who wish to bring friends. There will be a pay bar available and I have organised a complimentary drink for each of you - please find me on arrival to collect your drinks ticket.
On Saturday the Moores Building will be open from 6.30pm for the Nikon exhibition openings, followed by our workshop slideshow at 8pm. There is complimentary food & drink.  I believe you have been discussing the workshop formats today and we can finalise this in your groups tomorrow.
Best wishes
Fiona

Dear photographers

Trust everyone has had a productive start to the workshop.

There are no events on this evening but I believe some of you have made arrangements to meet up in smaller groups, if you are not shooting tonight.

Tomorrow there is an exhibition by a Norweigan photographer opening at the Fremantle Prison from 7pm. For those who have no other plans I would suggest we meet there for an informal drink and catch up.

My number again is 04 2407 4311 should you need it.

Best
Fiona

It was nice to meet some of you last night & I hope that you will be able to make it to the exhib opening tonight at the Fremantle Prison.

Can't seem to find where I read it at the moment, but I have it in mind that as part of the workshop we get a pass that entitles us to free or reduced-price entry to the paid events. Does anyone know if that's the case and, if so, whether it's possible to get the pass before Monday?

Very nice to meet you Christine, Carl, Oliver, Charlene etc today and yesterday. Back in Midland I can't help but wonder where all the nice pictures taken are going to go? :)

Thanks Fiona. Should be able to work on mine fairly easily, I think, so I'm all for it!

Greg to answer your question, the Rottnest trip is optional & yes you would be welcome & encouraged to work on your personal project if possible.
Obviously the trip will not suit some individuals, especially those who require specialist access or are working on specific topics. I've never been to the island but understand its a lovely place to visit. There may not be a great deal of 'stories' to shoot (although that is a challenge in itself) so everyone will be able to discuss this element with thier tutors to decide whether to go before Wednesday. If your workshop leaders & the group majority decide to go small assignments can be set which can be managed away from the workshop environment. Individuals can opt out if they'd rather continue with their story ideas.
