I'm guessing that one of the things we're all hoping to do apart from the Workshop itself is to catch up with as many of the exhibitions as possible. For me, one of the priorities will be to make sure I see anything that fellow workshop members are putting on, not least because it means – hopefully – that we'll be able to talk to each other about the shows and what we've learnt from putting them on.

I've noticed that Dawn has an exhibition that Cim and Christine are both part of, but I thought it would be helpful to have a thread where the details are listed – that has to be far easier than cross-referencing the members list and the FotoFreo programs.

The first of mine is Roads By Night, Lanes By Light, which will be at the Centre Gallery at Victoria Park Centre for the Arts from 9-22 March.

The same gallery also has Peter Annand’s ‘Same River’, and Matthew Haynes ‘No Fixed Address’ for the same run, then switches to an exhibition by staff members at the University Of Arizona, which by all accounts has a very good photography department.

I’ve already exhibited Roads By Night, Lanes By Light in Edinburgh, so there’s some material about it on my website.

The other exhibition I’ve got is Everything You Touch Turns To Time, which is at Mojo’s Bar in North Freo from 25 March to 5 April.

Nothing about that on my website just yet – I’m still trying to edit it down to something that will fit in the venue – but it’s essentially an intimate portrait of seminal Australian band The Triffids. Shot during rehearsal, sound check, backstage preparation and performance for some of their recent reunion concerts.

In a previous incarnation, Mojo’s is where The Triffids played four of their first five paying gigs. There’ll be an opening for the exhibition, with local musicians playing some Triffids songs, at 1pm on Sunday 25 March, and obviously I'd be delighted to see any and all of you there.

Thanks Gary! I was thinking about checking out some of the galleries on Saturday. If anyone is interested in going as a group, let me know.

Just updated my website with the details for Everything You Touch Turns To Time.

Two more member events that I've noticed: Jessie Boylan is part of Behind the Atomic Curtain: Life and Death in the Nuclear Age, which itself is part of Divergence. And she's giving an artist talk at 10:15am on Saturday 17 March. Sad to say I won't have arrived in time for that.

Not sure of the exhibition or venue names, but Rob Turner has mentioned that he has a show at 54 Henry Street, opening on Sunday 18 March at 6pm.

I really was hoping that people would help me out with this, but while I wait for that, here are two more that I've noticed along the way:

Charlene Winfred has Tug Boat Dreaming at the Little Creatures Dining Hall, which presumably means we can all see it on the evening of Monday 19 March when we head there for the informal drinks session.

Kelly Hussey-Smith is part of Divergence, though the program doesn't really say very much. She's also part of a group show by the Queensland College of Art Photography Department at the Freerange Gallery in Perth, and has a solo show called Caged at PAWS. More details please!

Mine's not going to be up until March 28 unfortunately :( It runs from 28 March to 26 April.
