I am currently working in Nepal with community based organizations campaigning for truth, justice and reparations in relation to enforced disappearances. The movement is finding its feet and until recently its agenda was dominated by political and NGO agendas. To date this has been reflected in how the families have been represented visually. It is a process the families have had little control over or participation in.
I am looking for examples of similar campaigns around the world where families have participated meaningfully in their representation - including participatory methodologies.
